It’s back on the road on Easter Monday as The Shakers make the 26-mile trip to Clitheroe.
With only four games left in the season, we sit four points clear at the top of the table.
Anthony Johnson’s side will make the trip full of confidence after a 4-1 win on Good Friday against Congleton Town, extending their winning run to four games.
The two sides last faced on Boxing Day, when goals from Rustam Stepans and Leo Graham solidified a 2-0 win at Gigg Lane.
In Opposition – Clitheroe
The club were founded in 1924, and became one of the founding members of the North West Counties League in the 1982-83 season.
They played in the 1995-96 FA Vase final at Wembley, with 7,500 fans making the trip.
They were promoted to the Northern Premier League in the 2004-05 season and have been in the league since.
Their highest finish came in the 2022-23 season, when they finished 4th in a restructured Northern Premier League Division One West; earning a play-off semi-final berth where they were beaten 2-0 by Workington.
