We are delighted to announce the signing of Anthony Dudley, our first signing of the summer.
He returns to Gigg Lane having first come through the youth ranks at Bury FC, making his Football League debut for the club in January 2014 against Burton Albion.
Now returning to the Shakers with over a decade of senior experience behind him, Dudley brings proven quality, versatility and attacking threat to the squad.

During his first spell with Bury, Dudley gained valuable experience through loan spells with Guiseley AFC and Macclesfield Town, impressing with his pace and eye for goal in the National League.
A move to Salford City followed in 2017, where he first linked up with manager Anthony Johnson, and helped the club secure the National League North title during the 2017/18 campaign. Dudley later enjoyed a successful spell with Chester FC, initially on loan before making the move permanent, going on to make more than 140 league appearances and scoring over 30 goals for the Seals.
Most recently, Dudley has featured for Radcliffe, making 30 appearances in the 2024/25 season, continuing to demonstrate the experience and attacking quality that have made him a well-known figure across the non-league pyramid.

“I’m delighted to be back at the club that gave me everything, Dudley said.
“I want to pass on my experience and lead by example. I’m not the loudest character in the dressing room, but I’ll stay positive and bring a lot to the table
“I’ve been with Jonno since I left Bury the first time around. He’s a manager you trust and want to play for. He gives you the freedom to express yourself on the pitch – if you work hard, you get rewarded.”
Jonno added, “He’s an unbelievable player and someone the fans will already know well. He’s been a fantastic servant to every club he’s played for.
“When I think back to some of the opposition we faced last season, we were sometimes looking for that tactical brain, someone who can unpick a game, and he brings exactly that.
“He’ll create real excitement and a buzz around the changing room because the players know they’re getting a top-quality operator.”
Anthony will link up with his new teammates when pre-season begins later this summer.
Welcome back to Gigg, Duds!
